The 40 hour HAZWOPER training course was developed to protect the workers working at hazardous sites and devised extensive regulations to ensure their safety and health.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This 40 hour HAZWOPER training course covers topics under 29 CFR 1910.120 (e). This 40 hour HAZWOPER online course meets the standard requirement of 40 hours of initial training. This course helps workers identify different types of hazards and also suggests possible precautions and protective measures to reduce or eradicate hazards at the work place.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Understand OSHA and its role in regulating occupational safety
Site Characterization to eliminate work hazards
Familiarize with materials, compounds and mixtures that may contain explosive, flammable, chemical or radiological hazards
Identify existence of hazardous materials in the workplace
Accentuate the importance of personal protective equipment to limit hazardous exposure
Establish Site Control Program that limits the risk of exposure for workers working in the hazardous work zone
Encourage the use of Material Safety Data sheets (MSDS)
Implement procedures to treat workers in the event of hazardous exposure

QUIZZES and TESTING:

There is a set of quizzes between training chapters. All module quizzes must be cleared with a minimum score of 70% to proceed forward in the course. The final exam at the end of the course also requires the same minimum score to complete the HAZWOPER training successfully. If a trainee is not able to clear the final exam then, there are two additional attempts at no additional charges.

Upon successful completion of course you can print your HAZWOPER certificate.
